Brooklyn Booters: Meet Dylan

As a part of our Brooklyn Booters series where we get to know some of our boot owners, we had the pleasure of chatting with Dylan.
Dylan, pictured above, shares his thoughts and experiences with his Brooklyn Boots. See what he has to say below!
Brooklyn Boot: Tell us about yourself!

D: I was born and raised in Southern California and have been in SF Bay Area for the last 20 years. I’m a hairdresser and salon owner, and recently started a hair product company. When I’m not working I like to ride motorcycles, and garden. My last trip was to Dublin Ireland. Can’t wait to go back.

What initially attracted you to our brand and the particular boots you selected?

I’m on my feet 10 hours a day and am always looking for good quality shoes that hold up. I also like to support American manufacturing whenever possible. On a whim I gave your saddle shoe a try, in blue, and am very impressed with the build quality. They look good, too.

How do you feel about your boots now that you’ve spent some time in them?

I ordered a 2nd pair from your company – I like them. Great support.

When and where do you wear them?

When I work, ride and even garden (sometimes). I’m hard on my shoes and tend to wear whatever the latest pair I have is until they fall apart on my feet. So I wear them always and most places.

What other types of shoes do you normally wear throughout your week?
Flouvog. They’re also made well.

How do you define your personal style?

Kinda a uniform – a little rocker, a little preppy at times, a touch punk, and I like suits and ties.

What is most important to you when choosing what to wear? (comfort, style…)

It’s always better to be a little over dressed then under dressed. Comfort doesn’t have to mean sloppy. Or, invisible (black tshirt and jeans is good for that).

What, if anything else, would you like to buy from a company like us who sells direct from our factory?

It’s that you make your goods in America that I like. I support companies that have a social consciousness.
